For a while, he still squirrels around, until he finally ends up with his legs wrapped securely around his waist, fingers coming up to dig in Emil's shoulder blades, and his face tucked against his neck. The pressure was a way to suppress his anxiety, but it probably didn't feel particularly kind to be on the receiving end of, if that wasn't something helpful to your mindset to begin with.
