[There's a moment where the only sound is a quiet shuffle, and even then that's a deliberate choice for the visitor's sake rather than any carelessness on Lalli's part. Because he definitely wasn't tire. Nope. No siree. He's wide awake and looking at Sarnai's resting form like he's hoping she'll suddenly leap up and answer the door for him, dismiss whoever it was, then let him get back to sleep. When that doesn't seem like that's going to happen, Lalli goes back over, creaks the door open an inch, and squints at this intruder.

Lalli hums and gives a signal to wait before retreating back into his room and quickly stripping free of his uniform so he can get on some more comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes. His knife still gets tucked into his pocket. Just in case. Satisfied and curious despite his weariness, he nods to himself and steps outside to gently close the door behind him. He doesn't know if Sarnai wears her earrings while she sleeps, but he'd feel bad if she did and he wound up waking her because his friend paid him an early visit. A really early visit...]
